John Morris has over 40 years experience catching the "Big Bass". He has been a successful guide and tournament fisherman in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Texas and New Mexico. A significant portion of his large bass are caught on his own jigs and spinner baits. He enjoys teaching fishing techniques to both the novice and experienced fisherman. John practices  total "Catch & Release".

Lake Fork reservoir is located approximately 1 1/2 hours east of Dallas, Texas. When Lake Fork is at full pool, it covers 27,690 acres of thick vegetation and timber. The lake was opened in the fall of 1980 and has since gained the reputation as the number one trophy Bass impoundment in Texas. An intensive fish management program along with the carefully maintained slot limit and catch and release are some of the reasons that Lake Fork ranks high on the top 50 big bass caught  in the state of Texas. Some of these fish include a 17.98 lbs. and the current state record 18.18 lbs.
